$20 vs $60 Carbon Saddle — Is There Really a Difference?
00:20:13

The reviewer discusses the ELITAONE saddle as the fourth item in their comparison. They note it has a short-nose geometry with a pressure relief channel, which they found comfortable. However, they heavily criticize its construction quality, citing sharp burrs on the channel, a lack of markings on the rails, and significant flex in both the top plate and rails. They express doubt that the bottom plate is genuine carbon fiber, suspecting it is molded plastic. They conclude it is a disappointment, especially given its price is similar to a much better saddle (the 'mixed' model).

AI Summary

Pros

  • Short-nose geometry is modern and comfortable
  • Has a pressure relief channel
  • The seat cover is firmly attached without glue around the edges

Cons

  • Sharp burrs on the pressure relief channel that could damage bib shorts
  • No markings on the rails for precise adjustment
  • Very flexy in both the top plate and the rails

Couple of saddle that I would highly recommend. This Goldix <---- another copy of a power saddle that just fits. And this ElitaOne <--------- extremely good copy of the Selle Italia. I sold my original 3D printed one and got 3 of these plus I have money left over. VERY highly recommend.

Frame
Elves Falath EVO 2023

The ELVES Falath EVO+ Carbon Road Disc Frameset is a 2023 aero road bike frameset that has generated significant discussion. Key attributes mentioned include: price around $1100-$1300 USD, frame weight approximately 1300g for size 54, carbon construction with some fiberglass in steerer, T47 bottom bracket (EVO+ model), UCI certification, ISO 4210 testing, and proprietary integrated cockpit. The geometry is polarizing with very short top tubes on most sizes except the 61cm which has unusually long reach, creating fit challenges. The design features aggressive aero tube shapes but has been criticized for rectangular profiles and questionable aerodynamic optimization. Delivery times range from 4-10 weeks with custom paint options available.

00:17:48

The reviewer provides a detailed review of the Moving Sports SL1200 carbon wheelset, which they tested for three months. They state the wheels are 'absolutely incredible for the price' and among the lightest at this price point, even lighter than some costing twice as much. They highlight the brand's in-house factory and quality control, competitive price-to-weight ratio, free shipping to key regions, and a generous crash replacement program. The reviewer also notes a couple of issues, primarily an uneven hub sound and the brand's relative newness compared to more established competitors.

AI Summary

Pros

  • Among the lightest wheels at this price point
  • Lighter than some wheelsets costing twice as much
  • Incredible for the price

+21 more

Cons

  • The hub sound is uneven ('wavy'), which the reviewer notices while riding
  • The brand is less established with fewer online reviews, offering less peace of mind than bigger brands
  • The 65mm depth can catch wind, pushing the front end around in very windy conditions (though this is a characteristic of deep-section wheels, not a unique flaw)

Key Points

  • Model: Moving Sports SL1200 (SL1200s)
  • Weight: ~1,415g for the 65mm version tested; 1,230g for the 40mm version
  • Price: ~$1,000 (or $850 with discount code 'MikeD')

The Best Deal in Cycling? Magene PES 515 Review (With One Catch)
00:16:07

The reviewer tests and reviews the Magene PES515 power meter, which is a spider-based power meter that comes with a PES crankset. They detail the unboxing, installation on a bike with a Shimano groupset, and extensive testing against other power meters. The reviewer notes the initial accuracy was off by 4-5% compared to their reference pedals, but after applying a calibration offset in the app, it showed excellent precision and repeatability. They conclude it is a very affordable option that requires some user calibration to achieve accuracy.

AI Summary

Pros

  • Super affordable at $299 including cranks and shipping
  • Excellent repeatability and precision
  • Natively compatible with a 24mm axle and four-bolt Shimano spacing spider, making installation super easy

+5 more

Cons

  • Not lightweight; carries a weight penalty (total weight with chainrings ~653g)
  • Initial accuracy required calibration; it read 4-5% higher than reference pedals out of the box
  • No longer the cheapest power meter on the market due to new competitors

Key Points

  • Spider-based power meter

sumc 12 speed bike chain crescent chain road bike mountain 126 links ultra light bicycle chain for Shimano

sumc 12 speed bike chain crescent chain road bike mountain 126 links ultra light bicycle chain for Shimano

Chain
Purchased: 2026-03-01

I received Shimano compatible SUMC flattop chains and so far I'm impressed. The packaging is premium, I really like how the chains look on the bike. I did a couple of rides so far and the chains are somehow super quiet with a ZTTO ultimate cassette. I used shimano chains with those cassettes and the noise was unbearable, KMC was much better but SUMC is next level quiet. I use it with a newest generation of the Ultimate cassette so the new cassette design might also help. Can't comment on the durability, will see if it lasts. Buying these chains does not make a lot of sense though unless you really want flattop with a non-sram drivetrain since these chains are very expensive.

The reviewer briefly mentions the ZTTO BB386 Press Fit Bicycle Bottom Bracket And Install Tool Steel Ceramic Bearing 24 30mm MTB Road Bike BB DUB GXP Crankset but does not provide detailed analysis.

AI Summary

Pros

  • The reviewer states that a ZTTO T47 bottom bracket (an internal design) has lasted 5-6,000 miles with minimal maintenance in all weathers and is still smooth.

Key Points

  • The reviewer's positive experience is with a ZTTO T47 internal bottom bracket, not the specific BB386 Press Fit model mentioned. The reviewer generalizes that cheaper bottom brackets in internal, threaded designs (like T47) are more viable as they are better shielded and have a stiffer design.

The Worst Place to Save Money on a Bike
00:11:01@ 08:07

The reviewer mentions using a ZTTO T47 bottom bracket on a bike for about 5-6,000 miles with minimal maintenance in all weathers, and it remains smooth. They note it contains unbranded, no-name bearings, but the internal T47 design provides a more forgiving environment.

AI Summary

Pros

  • Has lasted 5-6,000 miles in all weathers with minimal maintenance
  • Still spins nice and smooth after that distance
  • The internal T47 design shields the bearings better from spray and grime, leading to a longer lifespan for cheap bearings in this format.

Cons

  • Contains completely unbranded, no-name bearings
  • The bearings themselves are not of higher quality; their longevity is attributed to the frame design.

Key Points

  • Used in an internal T47 bottom bracket design
  • The internal, threaded T47 design is chunkier, stiffer, and sits inside the frame, reducing flex and axial load on the bearings.
  • The design better shields bearings from spray and grime.

winspace g3 - this build was no fun
00:11:36

The reviewer discusses building a bike with a Winspace G3 frame. He initially used an L2 electronic groupset but had issues with the power cable routing through the chainstay, leading to frustration and eventual return of the groupset. He replaced it with an L2 mechanical groupset (GRT) and a Jaguire shifting kit, which worked flawlessly. He praises the frame's feel and confidence it provides, comparing it favorably to his old steel bike.

AI Summary

Pros

  • Frame feels flawless and gives confidence
  • Shifting performance is great with mechanical groupset
  • Frame is comparable to steel bike in feel

+1 more

Cons

  • Power cable for electronic groupset did not fit through chainstay, causing two days of frustration
  • Manuals for Chinese parts are not great
  • Internal cable routing is difficult for tinkerers who want to take things apart

Key Points

  • Winspace G3 frame is carbon
  • Initial groupset was L2 electronic (E2), later replaced with L2 mechanical (GRT)
  • Used Jaguire shifting kit for improved shifting with internal routing
