Mondince Frame with 57mm tire clearance

The Mondince FM346 is a gravel frame with 57mm tire clearance, inspired by the Cannondale SuperX geometry. It features a 27.2mm seatpost, top tube mounts, and comes with a chainstay and downtube protector. The frame is available with custom paint and decals. Pricing is around $580 for frame, fork, headset, seatpost, storage bag, and axles, plus $180 shipping to the US. The geometry has been a point of debate, particularly the 69mm BB drop and long seat tube, which some find unsuitable for gravel riding. The frame is also being released by Tantan.

AI Summary

Pros

  • Aggressive geometry similar to Cannondale SuperX, good for racing
  • Affordable pricing at $580 for frameset

more pros in the review

Cons

  • BB drop of 69mm is too high for gravel, causing instability at high speeds and cornering
  • Long seat tube reduces seatpost flex and comfort
  • Short reach (376mm on size 54) may require long stem

Mondince FM356 61mm tire clearance

The Mondince FM356 is a carbon bikepacking frame with 61mm tire clearance, dropped seat stays, and geometry similar to the Salsa Cutthroat and Open Wi.De 2.0. It is available in multiple sizes, with the 54cm releasing first. The frame is sold directly through Mondince (not on AliExpress) and can be ordered via WhatsApp contact. Price is $625. The frame includes in-frame storage. However, the design has changed: the new geometry chart shows a narrower fork upper part, potentially reducing tire clearance, and size S has a short BB-to-fork-axle distance (589mm) causing significant toe overlap. The frame is expected to be released around August 2026.

  • Dropped seat stays for improved gravel comfort
  • Geometry similar to popular bikepacking frames like Salsa Cutthroat

I have this on my ebike mtb/commuter. It's been great, no issues so far in six months or so since install. I've taken it down a few advanced trails, no big jumps or drops, just a few bits of chunk and hard braking on steep slopes, nothing broke. I bought four carbon forks from Ali last year and it has the best design and finish. Trace Velo vouched for OG-Evkin which was what turned me on to them, he's riding one of the their carbon frames.

This Goldix BB was also junk. It at least managed to keep itself together through a couple of crank installs but when i finally tightened everything up it didn't spin well at all and had a weird resistance spinning forward that wasn't there spinning in reverse. No more cheap BB's for me.

Purchased: 2026-05-27

In anticipation of a longer distance bikepacking trip, that I just completed, In January I purchased a 10-52T version of the ZTTO Ultralight MS Cassette. I have been running the ZTTO 10-50 version for several years without any problems. I installed the brand new 10-52 cassette on my bikepacker about 3 weeks ago, made adjustments, and believed I was good to go for my ride. 1-day after arriving home, I stripped the bike apart to clean and inspect everything. While cleaning the cassette, (Now, with only 800 miles on it), I noticed that 4 of the teeth on the lowest "52 tooth" aluminum cog were bent and mangled. All 4 of these teeth are in areas where ZTTO has machined what appears to be shift ramps to help the chain be driven up onto the cog. 2 of the teeth have cracks below the tooth where the ramp machining has made the cog very thin below the tooth. Therefore I took measurements: The 52 tooth cog is between 2,1 and 2.18mm thick. Where the teeth are all failing, and the ramps cut into the cog are nominally .71mm thick. This is 33% of the metal left below to the tooth. This is a bad/weak area design!!! FYI - The rest of the cassette still looks brand new! In comparison, My ZTTO 50 tooth cogs on my other cassettes all have ramps that leave 50% of the material below by the teeth with ramps. On this 52 tooth cog, this appears to be a bad design to remove so much material below a key tooth used to help lift the chain onto the cog! (See pics.) yesterday, I wrote the store I purchased the cassette from explaining the problem. They reply was. - "friend the biggest cog is aluminum alloy" This morning, I directly wrote ZTTO explaining the problem and failure. I will share what they write back.
