In this video I give a long term review of the Winspace T1600. This is the bike I have raced on for months and it has been completely faultless. It has been in the wind tunnel, it has been through thousands of kilometres across Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, and it has had more wheel tests than most people do in a lifetime.
I also talk about the big shift at Winspace. They started as an OEM builder but the T1600 shows that they now make a full race bike in their own right. The build quality is clean, the aero performance is serious and the new hyper bars are a clear step forward. If you are hunting for real speed you will want to watch this.
There is a catch. The geometry can be tricky if you are tall. The top tube length and the way the sizes are labelled mean that some riders may struggle to get the perfect fit. If you are on the taller side make sure you check your numbers before buying.
I cover wheel choice, frame stiffness, the winglets, the bottom bracket, headset performance in bad weather and the aero gains you can expect with different setups. I also show some comparison data against other fast bikes.
Full charts, aero plots and raw test data are available to Patreon users only. If you want the deeper numbers and the full engineering breakdown, Patreon is the place to get it. (https://patreon.com/hambini)
If you want a fast aero machine without paying silly money this one is worth a look. It is quick, it is stiff, it is well put together and for most riders it will be a very solid race bike.
Leave a comment if you have tried the T1600 or if you want to see more wind tunnel and on road testing.

Bike part mentions in this video
Winspace T1600
Created: June 05, 2025The reviewer has used the Winspace T1600 as his primary race and training bike for approximately seven months, covering around 6,000 kilometers. He states the bike has been completely faultless, raced in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK, and tested in a wind tunnel. The frame is described as extremely sensitive to wheel choice, and the integrated handlebars are highlighted as a significant source of aerodynamic gains. The build quality is praised as flawless, and the bike is noted for being extremely stiff. The reviewer mentions the bike comes as a frameset including the fork, handlebars, stem, and seat post, with the rest being bolt-ons. He also discusses the bike's geometry, noting the XL size has a longer top tube than expected.
AI-Summary
Pros
- Completely faultless over 6,000 km of use
- Extremely stiff frame
- Flawless build quality
- Excellent aerodynamics, especially with the included handlebars
- Easy to build with no issues
- Good handling
- Successful for the reviewer's racing
- Local warranty coverage available in many countries
Cons
- Frame geometry can be tricky, with the XL size having a longer top tube than the labeled 540 size suggests
- The frame is extremely sensitive to wheel choice; a wide tire and wheel combination can increase drag more than the rolling resistance benefit
- The reviewer is not totally convinced the winglets provide a significant aerodynamic benefit
Key Points
- Used as a race and training bike for ~7 months and ~6,000 km
- Frameset includes fork, handlebars, stem, and seat post
- Bottom bracket is BB T47 / T47 with an 86.5mm shell
- Features controversial winglets on the frame
- Completely internal cable routing, not set up for mechanical shifting
- Integrated Hyper handlebars are a major source of aerodynamic gain
- Geometry: XL size is labeled 540 but has a 575 top tube due to a sloped seat tube
- Requires a Di2 battery, which fits in a compartment in the bottom bracket area
- The reviewer used a size 54 frame with a longer stem to compensate for the smaller size
