Last batch of winter stuff:
- Another very cheap rsantce thermal : 184cm 76kg recommended XL which felt too big, I bought a new one in L and it fits much better. Still love it, still crazy cheap

I also switched back from electronic minipumps to a €4 minipump from AliExpress, which is much faster and easier to use with Clik Valves I recently bought. This let me downsize to a smaller saddlebag (Topeak Elementa XS) and get the total weight down to 264g. Extremely pleased with the weight and compact footprint of the bag.

Looking at Seraph/tantan gr048 . Thinking about buying the Seraph from this Aliexpress shop: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwmwywK Dont see alot of Gr048 builds here on Chinertown, wondering if it is safe to buy. The lightcarbon one not so conserned about. Also thinking that theproce different not an issue.

I have had mine for a little while now. Sample size of 1, but for me it's been solid and im 100kg+, done sprints on it and it didn't crack in half, which is fair enough for me. Ordered it through Seraph website and picked my own paint, can find my thoughts in the thread about that frame. Note that I specifically picked that frame because it's short and tall, there might be other options.

Nice build. Mind sharing how much you paid for the frameset in total incl. shipping, tax and paint?

was 700 euro about iirc. That also included a bb, tru-axles, headset, and the mount for fenders.

Ended up ordering this EVA saddle from RYET as one of the few narrow options with relatively flat top and even back to nose transitions. Slightly wider than my PRO Falcon 132 mm, slightly more curved, as well as substantially shorter, but I hope it will work.

Just chiming in after 3 rides so far on a Ryet Spesh Toupe/Romin copy. I'm pretty impressed. I don't think I'll be going back to buying western brands unless it's an amazing deal.

Haven't put tons of miles on mine since weather has been beautiful, but its still working fine. A smart trainer delivered to your door for about $250 is a no brainer for me. I'd absolutely do it again.

Here is the cockpit I ordered. No issues with it, super stiff and decently light.

I'm currently running a Kocevlo saddle. I find the saddle itself comfortable, did not experience any issues even on longer (6h+) rides, apart from the saddle taking a smaller toll on my bibs.

I picked up these iiiPro disc rotors awhile back. They're a few grams heavier than my lightweight Onirii disc rotors I was using, but braking definitely has more bite. I liked them so much, I ordered a second set. Highly recommended!

Perhaps an interesting option has become available, the Chaoyang Storm R1. Available in tubed and tubeless versions, though I haven't seen the tubeless version in AliExpress yet.

They are "ok". The cleat placement was very far forward and the toebox was very narrow.
I have some $70 Bontrager road shoes that absolutely blow them out the water in comfort for road shoes.

As far as mtb/gravel shoes I almost always wear my Shimano rx8s but I have a pair of Adidas and a pair of five10 shoes that I strap on when I know i'll be walking a bit during a ride.
I grabbed them for under $30 from Ross and TJMaxx. You'll have to go into a Ross continually to find the five10s. TJMaxx has Adidas, shimano and five10 and a website to search and order from.

I'm finishing assembling my LCR017-D, and everything went very well. Communication with LC was very good, but this isn't my first bike... I've already assembled a mountain bike for my son and ordered several pairs of wheels, road, CX, and MTB. I've always been very satisfied. I received a product that, to me, was in perfect condition, both inside and out. The paint and stickers were exactly as requested.
All I have to do is clean it, remove one or two spacers depending on my test ride, and install a saddle. So far, the only problem is the customs fees.
This is the version for larger riders , I'll give you the weight with the saddle...

A while ago I bought this light for $15 but for the first time I used it in pitch dark and I must say it has a nice uniform spread and the most well defined light cut off line I have ever used. I am actually astonished how nice the throw is on this thing, brand name notwithstanding. A word of warning, its quite a chonker. It does not look big in the photos but it is something in real life. I feel its a copy of something else but I can't be sure.

I purchased one of these several years ago to play around on my gravel bike. It works well, but I didn't like the added weight on my gravel bike. It also raises the front of the bike up enough that I really didn't like the change in handling. After playing around with a suspension fork on my gravel bike, for forest service roads and trails where I want/need front suspension, I ride my Carbon hardtail frame with a 120mm front suspension fork. My hardtail rides a lot better and is faster than my gravel bike on these types of rough roads.
