These wheels are definitely not 2× worse than 2× more expensive wheels. They are comfortable and stable in crosswinds. On the other hand, they don’t hold their momentum on flats as well as heavier wheels, and they are not as responsive as carbon-spoke wheels.
In in-house testing, I found below-average lateral and radial trueness. Spoke tension and dishing were fine. Fitting a tire could be easier.
I recommend them for beginners and those who live in hilly or mountainous areas. That’s where the lightweight will come in handy.
