Trace Velo - The latest electronic groupset from China - L-TWOO eRX v3.0

In 2023, L-TWOO debuted their eRX groupset, the first electronic groupset from a Chinese manufacturer. Recently they released v3.0, so what changes have been made?

I used the original L-TWOO eRX groupset extensively when it was first released, and did around 2000km on it. I really enjoyed using it, but version 1.0 did have some issues. The battery compartment needed a redesign, and the weather-proofing on the initial units was hit and miss. However they addressed these issues, and last year they sent me version 2.0, or the ‘blue edition’, as it was dubbed.

Again, I used it extensively, but they decided not to make it available for the public to buy, it never left the testing phase. However, a few days ago, I received the latest version 3.0 in the post and it looks incredible.

So today, I’ll be unboxing the groupset, comparing it to the other versions that exist, installing and testing the groupset, and with the cost of 105 Di2 lower than ever, we’ll discuss whether this new eRX can compete with Shimano?
