Lumintop B01 Flashlight Type-C rechargeable Flashlight 21700 with Holder Anti Glare Design City Walk 850Lumens 210M Distance
Created: April 07, 2026The reviewer presents a detailed analysis of the Lumintop B01 bike light. They state it is a rechargeable flashlight-style bike light with a 21700 battery, USB-C charging, and a holder. It features an anti-glare design, but lacks official German STVZO road approval. The reviewer highlights its affordable price, removable standard battery, and decent light output (550 lumens high, 900 lumen boost) as major advantages. However, they criticize the light beam pattern for having poor long-distance visibility and not being optimally cut-off for road use, making it only conditionally suitable for streets. They find it more suitable for off-road use. The reviewer also notes a recent change in the user interface for newer models and the lack of a battery level indicator.
AI-Summary
Pros
- Affordable (around 35-40€)
- Sturdy aluminum housing
- Uses a standard, removable 21700 battery (easy to swap without tools)
- Can be charged in-place via USB-C
- Decent light output for the price (550 lumens high, 900 lumen boost)
- Neutral white light (around 4000K, better in fog/rain)
- Has an anti-glare cut-off (though not perfect)
- Can be mounted in different orientations (upright or hanging)
Cons
- No German STVZO road approval
- Light beam pattern is not optimal: poor long-distance visibility (lux value too low)
- Cut-off is not sharp enough for perfect road use; can easily blind others if angled for better visibility
- Lowest light mode is almost unusably dim
- User interface on newer models changed to long-press for mode switching, which is less convenient on a bike
- No battery level indicator (only blinks and steps down to low mode when nearly empty)
- Mounting system is functional but not optimal (tight fit, could wear out)
- As a pure road light, the reviewer would not choose it first
