Current test period: 6 months. No issues so far - this has been a game changer for me as I hate training indoors. I don't think I'll go back to a wheel off trainer. Much better to have a dedicated bike to play around with bike fits on. Currently around 1300GBP with the discount code:

Wahoo's KICKR BIKE SHIFT is probably the closest direct equivalent but doesn't have wireless shifting.

The reviewer provides a detailed review of the CYCPLUS T7 Smart Bike trainer. They state it is a standalone smart bike trainer priced at approximately 1,300 GBP / 1,750 USD. They highlight its good build quality, ease of assembly, extensive adjustability for bike fit (including crank lengths from 155mm to 180mm, saddle, and handlebar positions), and quiet belt-driven system. They note it uses wireless L2 shifters that feel like Shimano Di2. The reviewer conducted a power comparison with Assioma pedals, finding the T7 over-reads by 1-12% in different intervals, though the power trends are repeatable and the app allows for slope adjustment. They have used it for about 3-3.5 months, finding it game-changing for indoor training and useful for bike fit experimentation, especially for smaller riders. They mention some minor design issues and unconfirmed durability concerns.

Resumen IA

Pros

  • Decent price point (approx. 1,300 GBP / 1,750 USD)
  • Good build quality
  • Easy assembly (four M8 bolts)
  • Extensive bike fit adjustability (saddle, bars, stem, crank length from 155-180mm)
  • Stable and stiff for sprinting
  • Quiet belt-driven system eliminates chain/cassette noise
  • Wireless L2 shifters feel like Shimano Di2
  • Natural feel from increased flywheel inertia

Cons

  • Power accuracy: Over-reads by 1-12% compared to Assioma pedals (though trends are repeatable)
  • Design flaw: With shorter crank lengths (<165mm), it's difficult to fit an Allen key behind the pedal to tighten it
  • Shift buttons on hoods cannot be configured to do anything in Zwift (pointless in that app)
  • Bottle cage placement is above the belt and electronics, raising sweat ingress concerns
  • Reach extension slider feels a bit flexy under hard sprints and needs occasional tightening
  • Durability of wireless hoods against sweat ingress is unconfirmed (time will tell)
  • The top bearing preload cap is described as pointless

Key Points

  • Product name: T7 full smart bike trainer from CYCPLUS
  • Price: ~1,300 GBP / 1,750 USD
  • Weight: ~28 kg, has front wheels for moving
  • Drive: Belt-driven (quiet)
  • Shifters: Wireless L2 hoods (Di2-like feel)
  • Power: Can adjust slope in app; claimed 1% accuracy but reviewer measured 1-12% over-read
  • Fit: Massive adjustment range for all contact points
  • Crank lengths: 155mm to 180mm
