A lot has happened on the site lately. Here's an overview of what's new.
Complete Redesign for 2026
I've reworked pretty much every screen on the site. The new design is more colorful, more concise, and works much better on mobile. I also added FAQ sections at several spots in the app to answer common questions right where they come up.
Use a Build as Template
You might have seen the "Use as Template" button on published builds. It copies the entire build, with all parts, prices, and notes, into your account. The original stays linked so you can see where it came from. The idea is simple: if someone put together a nice setup and you want something similar, you don't have to start from scratch. Just use their build as a starting point, swap out what you'd do differently, and you've got your own version in minutes.
Showcase Your Build
Builds with a picture and at least 5 components can now be made public and showcased on the site. That means other people can actually find your setup, look through the parts you picked, and use it as a template for their own build. If you've done the research and put together something you're happy with, sharing it helps the next person skip a lot of the guesswork.
Easier Reviews From Your Build
Each part in your build now has an "Add a review" button. It opens a pre-filled form so you don't have to search for the product first. The whole site runs on reviews from real people. If you bought a part and have an opinion on it, good or bad, writing it down helps someone else make a better decision. It's a give and take: you benefit from other people's reviews, and they benefit from yours.
PandaPodium Partnership
Thanks to the cooperation with PandaPodium, all their frames, handlebars, and wheelsets are now directly selectable when creating a build. Prices and product data get pulled in automatically. If you're putting together a build with PandaPodium parts, it should feel a lot smoother now.
Multi-Search
Press Cmd/Ctrl+K anywhere on the site to open a search that covers bike parts, brands, and video reviews at once. Type a few characters and jump straight to what you're looking for, no clicking through menus.
Brand Directory Overhaul
The brand directory has been completely reworked. I've added many known bike producers and brands from the East, primarily China, with headquarters info, product categories, official websites, and sub-brand/ownership relationships. I also researched which brands are owned by whom, because that's not always obvious.
Signed-in users can also see contact information for these brands. I keep this behind a login to protect the companies from spam.
Know a brand I haven't listed? Found an ownership connection I missed? Let me know at mail@mybike.parts.
German Translations
The full website, including navigation, brand pages, product categories, and summaries, is now available in German. Toggle between EN and DE in the top-right corner.
Think another language should be added? Write me at mail@mybike.parts.
