Reviews & Ratings

The reviewer mentions the Bigrock cranks as an upgrade installed in a previous video (part one). They state that the cranks were installed with their stock spider and a 4-bolt chainring, which was light but didn't save much weight versus their previous SRAM Red crankset. However, the Bigrock cranks did fix the chainline 'in a quite considerable way.' The reviewer notes the cranks are set up to work with 3-bolt SRAM direct mount chainrings, which allowed them to upgrade to a lighter E13 direct mount chainring for further weight savings and a cleaner look.
AI Summary

- Set up to work with 3-bolt SRAM direct mount chainrings, enabling a lighter chainring upgrade.
Cons
- When installed with the stock spider and a 4-bolt chainring, it 'didn't save me much versus my SRAM Red crankset.'

The reviewer installs and tests the Bigrock RS carbon crankset from AliExpress as a potential weight-saving and bike-fit upgrade. They compare it to their existing SRAM Red GXP crankset.
AI Summary
Pros
- Saves approximately 20 grams compared to the SRAM Red GXP crankset
- Uses a titanium axle for reduced weight
- Uses a standard SRAM 3-bolt mounting interface, which is better for 1x setups and chainline adjustment than the hidden bolt design on the old SRAM cranks
- Full carbon crank arms
Cons
- The weight saving is described as 'not massively lighter' and 'not groundbreaking'
Installed on a Tarmac SL8. No spacers, re-used the Ultegra chainrings and no adjustment needed at all. Packaging was good, not a fan of the graphics but couldn't bring myself to sand them off (just yet). Carbon weave looks great. Spider is plain and simple and would have been much nicer if it was a decorative spider that matches the look of the Shimano rings. No instructions. I torqued the 3 bolts to 6.5nm. Please let me know if this is too much, or too little, thanks!
Received mine, finish is great seems well made and simpler graphics than lots of of the carbon cranks coming from chinese manufacturers. I ordered 167.5mm with discount codes on Aliexpress came out to $238 CAD. Crank arms and spindle weigh 358g. With 3 bolts and spider 406g. Will be pairing with Dura Ace 9100 53-39 chainrings for a total weight of approximately 554g. Photos to come. Question for those who have these already, did anyone have to add the provided shims to ensure the spider bolts were tight?
