Reviews & Ratings

The reviewer discusses the RYET (referred to as 'Riot' in the transcript) 3D Printed Bicycle Saddle extensively. They are no stranger to the brand and have used a previous 3D printed model. They are now testing a new high-end 'Riot Ultimate' carbon fiber, 3D printed saddle. They praise its narrow nose profile, advanced 3D printing with variable density (firm under sit bones, soft in the pressure relief channel), premium carbon shell with no flex, grippy finish on the rails, and measurement markings. They tested it on a turbo trainer for a 3-hour session and found it very comfortable, on par with their much more expensive Selle Italia SLR Boost. They highlight its significantly lower cost compared to major brand 3D printed saddles.
AI Summary
Pros
- Comfortable, especially on a turbo trainer (a brutal test environment).
- Narrow nose profile that suits the reviewer's preference.
- Advanced 3D printing technology with variable density (firm for support, soft for pressure relief).
- Premium feeling with a carbon shell that shows no flex.
- Nice grippy finish on the rails to prevent slipping in the clamp.
- Measurement markings on the rails for repeatable fit.
- Well-made with the carbon shell nicely bonded to the rails.
- Significantly cheaper than major brand 3D printed saddles (approx. £70 vs. over £300).
- Comes with a protective carrying bag.
- Has a cover over the 3D mesh to prevent abrasion on shorts (unlike an older model).
- Allows for proper rotation forward to maintain an aggressive riding position.
Cons
- The reviewer mentions that some seat clamps may not work well with its ovalized carbon rails.
- It is not as light as some full carbon saddles with minimal padding (186g vs. 153g for another Riot model).
- The reviewer had an issue with an older Riot 3D printed saddle having a wide nose they didn't like, but this is not a con for the new model discussed.
Key Points
- Brand is referred to as 'Riot' (phonetically similar to RYET).
- Model is the 'Riot Ultimate' with a carbon shell.
- It is a 3D printed saddle.
- Weight is 186 grams.
- Features variable density 3D printing: firm under sit bones, soft in the pressure relief channel and nose.
- Has a cover over the 3D mesh.
- Uses ovalized carbon rails.
- Includes measurement markings on the rails.
- Approximate price is £70 on AliExpress for the high-end carbon model.
- A cheaper steel rail version exists for around £16.

The reviewer mentions swapping the stock saddle for a 'Riot saddle'. They state they could not use a super light carbon saddle due to the bike's clamping mechanism not supporting oval carbon rails, so they had to use a steel-railed saddle instead. They describe it as 'a bit heavy' but found it 'really comfortable riding'.
AI Summary
Pros
- The reviewer found it really comfortable for riding.
Cons
- The saddle is described as 'a bit heavy'.
- The reviewer could not use a super light carbon saddle as intended because the bike's clamping mechanism does not support oval carbon rails, forcing them to use a steel-railed version.
Key Points
- It is a steel-railed saddle.
- It replaced a stock saddle the reviewer disliked.
- The bike's clamping mechanism prevented the use of a lighter carbon saddle with oval rails.

I have the same problem, they rub so hard that I punctured the bibs (too bad they were the best I had ahaha) I then solved it with this saddle which despite a fall holds up very well
I have been using it for 3 years, that is approximately 40,000kms, I am light and the seat as well as the padding has not moved. The comfort is excellent but you need to take the time to properly adjust the inclination. The finish is very good, only a small problem: the carbon rails measure 10mm, it can be problematic for certain saddle clamps, among others the Ritchey.
Hello, long time lurker but first post here (hi!) I have the Ryet Ultimate carbon saddle, with the (small) EVA padding. I used it for almost two years. I replaced it on my TCR rim with a Ryet Aircode (3D printing). The comfort was good, the 3D-printed one is only marginally better, at the cost of chaffing my bibshort. I am building a new bike (Quick Pro ER One) and with a more compliant bike, with 30mm tyres, I will put back the Ryet Ultimate. At only 112g and nice quality it's a great compromise IMO. I did not notice that it's really a "nose-down" saddle, although I have no issue to sit towards its front end.
I have both a 3d printed-full carbon base and rails on my roadie and an EVA top-full carbon base and rails on my hardtail XC bike. Been riding them for a little over a year. Rides up to about 2.5 hours. Both are comfy. The 3d printed version feels more cushiony. The carbon base is pretty firm. The EVA top can get "squeaky" when my bib shorts may get damp from sweat or conditions and I move/shift on the saddle.
Ended up ordering this EVA saddle from RYET as one of the few narrow options with relatively flat top and even back to nose transitions. Slightly wider than my PRO Falcon 132 mm, slightly more curved, as well as substantially shorter, but I hope it will work.
