Reviews & Ratings

The reviewer provides a detailed analysis of the MIXED Full Carbon Fiber 5D Ultra Pack Light Weight Bike Saddle (referred to as the 'mixed fullcarbon 5D saddle' or 'mixed saddle'). They state it is substantially better than the previous saddles reviewed, with superior build quality, a more substantial feel, and a modern short-nose geometry. The top material is softer and grippier, and the carbon weave is visible on the bottom plate and rails, indicating a full carbon construction. It is very stiff with no flex. The reviewer found it comfortable on a 2.5-hour ride, praising its shape and the larger pressure relief channel. They note the saddle cover is still glued on, which is a cheaper construction method, but overall they are very positive. They rank it highly and explicitly recommend it as a great option.

The reviewer discusses the MIXED 5D saddle as one of three AliExpress saddles they use in their clinic. They describe it as extremely light and specifically recommend it for people with incredibly narrow pelvises and sitbone dimensions under 100mm. The saddle features a very flexible carbon shell, a massive rise at the rear, and tremendous clearance on the wings, making it good for riders who rotate their pelvis forward. However, they note the padding is not as good as 3D printed alternatives and that it is a bit delicate, having snapped on the inside edge from bearing weight on the front.

During these latest sales I picked up a Mixed 5D carbon saddle for less than $25. I have to say, I'm quite impressed with it. It fits me a little more comfortably than the last Ryet I picked up (which was a big reason I bought it, because I was a little disappointed in that Ryet). I guess I now have an entire fleet of chinese carbon saddles. If I had to rank them for my personal comfort, this is my ranking: #1 - Ryet X6P (carbon / 3d printed top) [note: I love this saddle. It fits me perfectly and I feel almost no discomfort even after finishing a century] #2 - Mixed 5D (carbon / eva top) #3 - Ryet (idk Superflow?, maybe) (carbon / eva top) #4 - Ryet Aircode (carbon / 3d printed top) I should point out, I've ridden century rides in every single one of those saddles (except the Mixed 5D, since I just rode with it for the first time this weekend). My oldest, the original Ryet Aircode, is the funniest one to me, because I find it rather uncomfortable for short rides. After 10-20miles my butt is a little sore and I would wonder why I hadn't removed it from my bike yet. Then, after 20mi, it just stopped bothering me. Every. Single. Time. I've never experienced anything like that. Of course, I did eventually remove it, because those other ones start out more comfortable and stay more comfortable.
Picked up the Mixed 5D saddle recently. I have about 100 miles on it this week and I gotta say, this thing is awesome!
I don’t have any rides over 2 hours on it yet but I don’t see longer rides being a problem, although it is slightly firmer than I usually prefer, it’s shaped just about perfectly for my build and riding posture.
