Why I Built a Chinese Rival to My Cannondale LAB71 | QUICK AR ONE
China Rides
23 ottobre 2026
Why build a Chinese road bike when you already ride a Cannondale LAB71? In this video, we build the QUICK AR ONE—a bike we’ll use to explore that question through future comparisons on China Rides.
We introduce QUICK, explain why we chose the AR ONE, and take a closer look at the components going into the build. Along the way, we weigh the parts and share their prices in China, before assembling the bike and heading out for a first ride.
The completed build weighs 6.45kg, including pedals and mounts, with Shimano Dura-Ace and Magene power-meter pedals. The listed component prices total RMB 34,300, excluding the retail value of the bar tape and inner tubes supplied free of charge.
This is the build and first ride, rather than a full review or a completed comparison with the Cannondale. It’s our starting point for finding out how the AR ONE performs over time and where it fits alongside the Western bikes we ride.
If you enjoy discovering Chinese bikes, exploring cycling technology and meeting the people behind the products, subscribe to China Rides for more bike reviews, factory tours and real-world riding.
