Chinese Carbon Wheels - What Would I Buy? - Elite Wheels Drive Helix SS Workshop Review

Because of the amount of wheels I’ve both reviewed and repaired over the years, I get a lot of people asking me what would I buy. Would I choose steel or ceramic bearings?. Would I opt for carbon spokes over traditional ones? And is that Star Ratchet thing worth it? If I was spending my own money on a new set of Chinese wheels……… Genuinely, this is the set of wheels I would buy.

When I get offered a set of wheels for review, I first ask myself if they are the sort of wheels that I would consider buying personally. And the three things that I look for are performance, reliability, and value for money.
