Bicycle Hydraulic Disc Brake 4 Piston MTB Brake Caliper IIIPRO E4 Mountain Bike Brake Oil Pressure 800/1550mm Front Rear Brake
Frenos de discoI am back from my month long travels. Lets go back in time 5 weeks ago... After my failures to get any of my 3, IIIPro calipers to work on the back of the bike, (Several of the same calipers could be bled on the bench and were working), I took a super careful look at the ferrules on the rear, internally routed, brake line. I could see scrape marks on the ferrules from all the swapping of calipers and lever assemblies. Just for grins, I cut off the existing ferrules , removing the bare minimum of housing, and installed new ferrules and nuts. OMG, I was able to actually bleed the rear brake and started getting decent caliper pressure. I took the bike out for a spin. Yuck! no stopping power. Brought the bike back in, sanded off the rotor braking surfaces, took the bike outside again - better, but not excellent stopping power. I was running out of time to get this bike working before my trip. For shits and giggles, I installed the caliper that I had rebuilt and installed new seals. See previous posts I bled the rear brake assemblies again, moving all the parts in multiple positions, tapping the lines, to try to get every last bubble out. Then... WOW! the brake lever feel and caliper movement was fantastic!!! Took the bike out for a spin and the rear brake stopping power felt fantastic! I decided to take a risk and use the bike on my planned 500+ mile bike camping/packing ride. Guess what! Brakes worked perfectly for the complete ride. Riding through, rain, mud, dust, across creeks, bogs, wet tall grass.... No problems. Maybe they can be trusted....

Bigrock Carbon Crank 24mm For Sram Cranks
BielasInstalled on a Tarmac SL8. No spacers, re-used the Ultegra chainrings and no adjustment needed at all. Packaging was good, not a fan of the graphics but couldn't bring myself to sand them off (just yet). Carbon weave looks great. Spider is plain and simple and would have been much nicer if it was a decorative spider that matches the look of the Shimano rings. No instructions. I torqued the 3 bolts to 6.5nm. Please let me know if this is too much, or too little, thanks!

ELITA ONE Carbon fiber seat tube Parts Seat post carbon Parts
Tija de sillínIn my opinion This is the absolute best bang for the buck! I use these saddle yokes and this 'seatpost base rail thingy' on all my bikes for 4 years, both road, mtb and gravel with zero issues. I do not use Elite seatpost, only the hardware!! Okay, the yokes could definitely be machined more precise/engineered better. But never once has the carbon cracked or the yoke broke in half. Screws are top notch too, but wrong color so I use rainbow Risk titanium instead. 20 bucks... I have multiple sets as spare too just in case.

1pc j & l Carbon Gabel lenkrohr Expander/Kompression stopfen-ein Zoll 25,4mm 1-1/2
Expander/Espaciador/TapónI bought the J&L one for my SL8 and just couldn't bring myself to use it. It looks cheap, feels even cheaper as it's got sharp edges and what's even worse, a standard top cap bolt will not screw all the way through it (IE: you will need a much shorter top cap bolt to use this expander). In the parts bin it went.

Elitaone 245x139mm MTB Road Bike Saddle Carbon Rails Short Nose Hollow Bicycle Seat for Comfortable Riding
SillínI've got nearly a year and 5000 miles on my Mixed 5d saddle now. Still loving it. Put a second one on my road bicycle. Have spent a dozen 6-8 hour days in the saddle, over a dozen 3 hour trainer/rollers sessions too. Saddle is always comfy.

Elitaone 245x139mm MTB Road Bike Saddle Carbon Rails Short Nose Hollow Bicycle Seat for Comfortable Riding
SillínI picked up one of these saddles a couple weeks back and have a few good rides on it. I'm extremely happy with it so far. The nylon shell flexes more than my other saddles and adds a significant amount of comfort. Maybe not for everyone but if you're in the 135 to 140 saddle width range, it's worth the $15 trial.

Trustfire D2R Bicycle Led Flashlight 450 Lumens Type-C Rechargeable Bike Light Quick Release 1600mAh Battery Lantern Torch Lamp
LucesSmall, bright. 3 modes; low, high, and flash. My first one I ordered nearly a year ago for $14, the second ordered a couple months back was $20. They run about 2+ hours on high and 4+ish? on low. I liked the first one so much I grabbed a second one and I just toss it in a pocket during long night rides and swap them out on the fly while i'm rolling along. The mount isn't an exact GoPro mount, it takes some fiddling, I spent a little time with a file making one of my mounts fit just right.

Luces^^ On the subject of lights, I'm running these and have been very happy with them. They've survived rain and snow, commuting, gravel rides and races and all the general abuse of being on the bike 24/7 for close to a year.
It was $37 on a sale. OK size and weight, really good battery life. EXTREMELY bright on high and adds a nice aroura around you on the ground at night. Like, its REALLY bright on daytime high, you'll get comments about it on group rides. I just leave it on high daytime mode to use the lights obnoxiousness as an excuse to sit on the back of pace line during group rides that are going a bit fast for my fitness. If you don't want to pony up for radar, this is probably the next best thing. It has an internal accelerometer so it senses braking and big bounces and lights up very bright and steady.

Bike Rear Light Warning Bike Taillight Seatpost LED Lamp USB Rechargeable MTB Road Bicycle Light for Night Riding Safety
LucesI used one of these for years. Good light. Not as bright as the new cob designs but enough.

BIKEONO Bicycle Light Bike accessories Headlight LED Taillight USB Rechargeable Flashlight MTB Cycling Lantern For Bicycle Lamp
LucesI bought an older version of this in 2019 and have been using it ever since. Battery is only 2000mah and mine doesn't last as long as it did but it's been a solid light that is just bright enough to use as illumination, though it's borderline imo and doesn't keep up with lights that are actually designed as headlights such as what you'd see for mtb night riding. Supposed to be 1000 lumens. It is bright enough to illicit complaints from approaching riders and pedestrians so needs to be aimed downwards a few meters in front of you or you'll get yelled at. I run it during the day on commutes.

LucesI also had a few of these really cheap led lights you see everywhere on Ali. They actually work well and are bright enough to be functional

LucesThese are good imo. Ok build quality, good brightness and a slightly longer battery life than the other similar shape i tried.
