While Bryton is best known as a budget friendly cycling computer maker, their sport S series has been their premium lineup. The new Rider S810 is the latest iteration of their top-of-the-line S series computer and combines a massive 3.5” color touch screen with the latest technology. With a retail price of $299.95, the Rider S810 offers high-end features that are designed to compete with Wahoo and Garmin at a more affordable price point. The S810 features a number of upgrades from the S800 including a curved glass display and Climb Challenge 2.0 with real-time climb profiles. One of the newest features is the integration of Strava Live segments which is the first time we’ve seen the feature on a Bryton computer.

As with the other S-series computers, Bryton has designed the S810 with a removable Bryton mount on the bottom. It’s nearly identical to a Garmin quarter turn mount, but has slightly thicker tabs which can damage a Garmin mount over time. You can either use a Bryton specific mount like those offered by KOM or the Bryton Sport Mount. The mount can also be replaced with an optional Garmin mount by removing the four screws and swapping the mount out. It’s a nice feature that lets you use the S810 with standard Garmin mounts and something we’d recommend as there are limited Bryton mounts on the market. Once the computer is locked into place on a mount there is almost no play despite the plastic mount construction. Note, the Garmin adapter is specific to the S810 and not interchangeable with the S510’s adapter.

Visually, the Bryton S810 continues the S series lineup premium design with smooth curved edges and a slim profile. The large 3.5” screen makes the S810 one of the largest Bryton offers and matches Garmin’s top offerings. With this latest iteration, Bryton has reduced the bezel size and added curved glass at the edges of the screen to help give the S810 an even more premium look and feel. Compared to the previous S800 with a flat screen and plastic edges, the curved screen gives the S810 a high-end look that matches today’s top cell phones. The computer also has a nice weight to it with mostly black exterior and a gray accent line around the sides instead of the previous white....

KI-Zusammenfassung

Pros

  • Premium-Look und -Haptik
  • Gebogene Glasoberfläche des Bildschirms
  • Heller und lebendiger 3,5-Zoll-Farb-Touchscreen
  • Reaktionsschneller Touchscreen
