I’ll be honest, I expected the 9Velo Wide Series carbon wheels to be yet another knock-off special with a fancy name and nothing going on beneath the surface. Instead, I got an engineering masterclass that makes most so-called "premium" aero wheelsets look like they were designed by a bunch of toddlers with crayons.

These carbon road bike wheels are ridiculously stiff, rapid and built with actual engineering know-how, from larger bearings and titanium freehubs to spoke geometry and vibration performance that would make even Zipp sob into its marketing budget.
