These Carbon Wheels from AliExpress Exploded...

I buy ALOT of cheap carbon wheels from AliExpress, and came across a set that appear to have exploded. As it happens, I bought almost exactly the same wheelset, from the same seller, so how have mine held up?

Buying very cheap carbon road bike wheels from AliExpress always carries a bit of risk. None of the Chinese wheelsets I have bought have failed or caused me any problems really, but it does happen.

Last year I purchased a set of tubeless carbon wheels from a brand called RYET on AliExpress for £300. However on the product page I found a review with some detailed pictures, showing virtually the same wheelset as mine, but cracked and splintered. They had apparently disintegrated or exploded during use.

So what happened to the exploded wheelset, and importantly how have my set held up over the last year and nearly 1,500 miles?
